Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film famous for her performance in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her showbiz career early. She played lead roles in dramas on television as young as 16 years old. She was praised for her portrayal on Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's Secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the beautiful diva. Alexandra is engaged in numerous noteworthy projects, both in the United States and internationally. The projects include British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as in addition to the French history mini-series Napoleon.
