Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the star of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. The actress was the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16, Alexandra played the leading character in various TV dramas. Her critically acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge, in the critically and commercially popular Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra worked on several notable national and international projects over the years. These include British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as along with the French historical miniseries Napoleon. Her other roles include being an official jury member for each of The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
